Partially taking shelter within the protection of Dennis’ tiny hut spell and the through 3 watches, the members of Tobin’s Revenge awake slightly refreshed. Deciding to push on, they check the door opposite of the way they came. Making their way inside they find a warrior halfling amongst lavish furnishings for a much larger resident. Against the warnings that they will anger Qesnef by the halfling, the party attempts to find any treasures within the room. As they discover a stash under the divan, the halfling turns on the party and attacks.
Dropping his halfling disguise, the Oni Qesnef begins to defend his possessions and room. The party eventually overwhelms and defeats him. Hidden throughout the room and on his slain body, the party obtains several magical items including a greatsword seemingly made of an obsidian like material. Also under the divan, the party discovers a box reminiscent of the one Sariel carries from Tethren but has a single key hole on the side. Belgwyn quickly casts aside possession on the greatsword either out of a discomfort at holding it or her keen focus on finding the legendary warhammer suspected somewhere under this mountain. Eventually the sword is taken by Hupp for safe keeping.
Making their way back to the inverted pyramid aquarium, the party discovers that numerous creatures have established themselves beyond the door now that the water has receded. Making quick work of the wrights, bugbears, and black pudding, the party then struggles with a foe they cannot see. Finally cornering the aggressive being in a corner, several members of the party land some hefty blows that end the threat for good.
Climbing out of the former aquarium and heading back into the main corridor, Tobin’s Revenge returns to the room with the floating river. Using some ingenuity and a ladder Seebo carries, each member finds themselves paired up in the kayaks and begin to travel downstream. After making their way through a fairly tight cave the first kayak emerges in a room. Before the first pair can react, several knights throw nets over them and pull them to the floor under the orders of the leader standing watch on the far side of the room.
