After their first day in Waterdeep, the party learns more about their target through a harper letter to Sariel. The following morning the full damage done from the botched robbery reveals itself in the form of an edict against Tobin’s Revenge by the Watchful Order of Magists and Protectors. Business is conducted with Volo to acquire the deed to Trollskull manor including an investment, to be handled by Renaer, in converting the manor back into the tavern it once was. The party then made their way to the Trades Ward to secure passage on the caravan and learn about any new information regarding the cult’s involvement.

After securing their various roles the party set forth on the 2 month journey to Baldur’s Gate. Along the way, they destroyed an inn while murdering the ill mannered veterans holed up within, dug up an oathbreaker, were replaced by a troop of actors, and made several attempts to see what the cult was transporting. Towards the end of the journey, just outside Soubar, the caravan was joined by several people including an odd acting male human and a female gnome (not a frequent occurrence for this journey). The gnome eventually joined with the party in their investigation of the cult’s actions as it aligned with their intentions. Gleamsilver let the party know the identity of the male human, known as Azbara Jos, a Red Wizard of Thay, and convinced the party to create a distraction that would allow them to investigate the wagons discreetly.
We left the party as the caravan pulled into a construction depot along the road between Soubar and Baldur’s Gate for protection in the Fields of the Dead. While most of the wagons are quickly unloaded into the main warehouse some party members notice that all the Cult of the Dragon’s cargo is being unloaded into the secure portion of the warehouse.
