The party begins by picking up the pieces after the battle with the white dragon. Resting up for the night and then starting down the mountain they encounter a sole humanoid as they enter the foothills. After some talking, the half-elf Leosin is grateful for the party dealing with Cryovain (the white dragon they slew). Deciding to allow the beaten and barely clothed half-elf travel west with them they learn of the Harpers and their concern over the growing dragon threat related to the Cult of the Dragon. Leosin continued on to Leilon while the part stopped by Phandalin. He told them to seek Ontharr Frume in Leilon if they choose to help.
Entering Phandalin the party was surprised to see the town bustling with people. They were met with celebration and high thanks for dealing with the dragon. Confused, the party sought out Sildar for answers. They were met with information on a group of adventurers sent by the Lord’s Alliance, the Dark Walkers led by a dragonborn named Rhogar. Sariel acknowledged she knew the name and attempted to quell the suspicions of the party, maybe only causing more confusion. Sildar, Sister Garaele, and Edermath all collaborated on the information they have regarding the Cult of the Dragon from their respective groups. Sildar did not think the Lord’s Alliance would make a move on such ‘suspicions’ and encouraged the party to follow the lead of either the Harpers or the Order of the Gauntlet. Meanwhile, Seebo returned to Tresendar Manor to check on their pet wyvern. He was met with the full complement of the manor’s staff and a private tour of the finished basement. The rest of the party joined up for a lovely dinner of boar, stew, soup, and fresh fruits and vegetables courtesy of their cook Kaylein.
Waking in the morning the party headed out for Leilon. Reaching the town they observed a large encampment on the outskirts of the town around a single large tent. Entering the town they sought out Leosin or Ontharr. Not a single person knew of a Leosin, but pointed out the local pub for Frume. Joining in the upbeat drinking and gaming the party had their fun with the not so forthright Frume. When the frivolity ended at the abrupt departure of Ontharr, some of the party sought out Leosin. Observing some similar monk-like figures, they followed into one of the inns. They were met with little to no information, but observed the keeper of the inn hiding a harper emblem under their scarf. Before they could investigate further they were summoned to Frume’s encampment by his squire.
In the encampment they were met with a very different Ontharr and their missing monk friend Leosin. The conversation turned quickly to their respective factions’ concerns that the Cult of the Dragon were up to something. Neither faction has enough on the cult to push other groups into action, but their best lead is the caravan Leosin saw leaving the raider’s camp before his escape. It didn’t take much for the party to agree to help out independently given Ontharr was needed in the area and Leosin is now well known to this particular cultist group’s leader Rezmir. Ontharr offered the use of a boat on the coast to the west to get the party to Waterdeep ahead of the caravan led by a half-dragon, assumed to be Rezmir, that passed through Leilon a day or two prior to Leosin’s return. Sariel accepted Leosin’s invitation to join the Harpers while Lucius accepted Ontharr’s offer to join the Order. The session ended with the party sailing into the harbor of Waterdeep in the early evening hours, hopefully a few days ahead of the caravan of cultists they needed to track.
